Y4T Scholarship Criteria
Thank you for your interest in the Y4T Nonprofit Partner & Scholarship Program, and for supporting the communities you serve!
The Y4T Nonprofit Partner & Scholarship Application is our chance to get to know you and the work you do. We receive numerous applications and have developed these criteria to help you understand what we are looking for. Here are four things to consider prior to filling out your application.
- Relevance – How relevant is the course material to your services, setting, and demographic? Please make a clear connection between yoga, trauma and the services you offer in your application. What needs are most prevalent in your population(s)? How will this training meet the needs of those you serve?
- Reach – How many people do you or your organization serve? Please include an estimate of monthly or annual services provided, including how many individuals, families, or organizations you serve.
- Need – This is a need-based scholarship. Please describe the circumstances of your financial need succinctly, including annual budget if you are a nonprofit organization. Please do not include specific details of your personal trauma history here. We offer both full and partial scholarships.
- Immediacy – Is this the right time for you or your organization to complete this training? Are there preparatory steps you’d need to make in order to maximize the benefit for your training experience?
What to expect after you submit your application:
Scholarships are awarded prior to the Y4T Program start date and we recommend getting your application in as early as possible. Due to the volume of applications we receive, we are not able to reply to each applicant. If you are awarded a full or partial Y4T Scholarship, we will reach out to you with next steps, which include completing the nonprofit partner & scholarship agreement, relevant payment terms, and preparing for your 8-week training experience. Scholarship applicants are asked to submit a 150-word impact statement upon completion of the training material. Please scroll down to complete your application.
