The Yoga for Trauma (Y4T™) Online Training Program for yoga & mental health professionals

This is a place for you to learn, grow, and connect with an international community of leaders in the growing fields of trauma-informed yoga (and yoga-informed therapy!).

Graduates of our Yoga for Trauma Online Training Program come from all around the globe and are supporting people coping with many different forms of post-traumatic stress.

Training for Wellness Professionals

If you're a professional in the fields of yoga (yoga teacher, studio owner or training director) or psychology (psychologist, counselor, therapist social worker) our 8-week Yoga for Trauma Online Training Program can support you in integrating the fields of yoga and trauma recovery in a skillful, responsive way.

Trauma theory and yoga philosophy

Throughout the 8-week training, Y4T students become clearer and more confident in offering yoga to trauma survivors with sensitivity and care. In the training, the program creator and CYTR founder Lisa Danylchuk teaches how trauma theory and yoga philosophy connect. The program shows you step-by-step how you can guide those recovering from trauma through a safe and supportive yoga experience.

Integrate yoga into all kinds of settings

Graduates of the Y4T™ program integrate yoga into all kinds of settings, including the psychotherapy office, community-based programs, academia, medical settings, yoga teacher trainings and far beyond. Graduates provide support to veterans, refugees, sexual assault survivors, children in schools, those coping with loss and nearing the end of life, and a number of other diverse populations in a variety of contexts.

Lisa Danylchuk, LMFT, E-RYT

Lisa Danylchuk, LMFT, E-RYT, is a licensed psychotherapist and founder of The Center for Yoga and Trauma Recovery. A graduate of UCLA and Harvard University, her work has pioneered the field of trauma-informed yoga and transformed our understanding of embodiment practices in therapeutic work. More than 385 providers from 28+ countries have completed Lisa’s Yoga for Trauma (Y4T) Online Training Program, the first virtual program to train providers offering trauma-informed yoga.
